Shipping

How do I track my package?

Once your package has been shipped, we will send you an email that provides your tracking number. If you are unable to find this email, you can also track your package by clicking here.

How long does it take to get my order?

Orders placed Monday-Friday before 2pm ET are packaged and picked-up for shipping the same day. We include free Priority shipping on all orders within the continental U.S., so most orders will arrive within 5 business days. We also include 2-day shipping for $10.00 within the continental U.S., those orders will arrive within 2 business days.

Do you ship outside of the US?

We do not offer international shipping at this time. However, Bloomingdales stocks our products on their website, and they offer international shipping.

How do I change the shipping address?

and include your order number. Please note, if the request is made more than one hour after purchase we may not be able to honor the request, as our warehouse is super fast!

What is your return policy?

In the unlikely event that you do not LOOK great in your readers, you have 90 days from the date of purchase to return them, no questions asked. And we will pay for shipping so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

Returns that come in past the 90-day return window will be charged a 40% restocking fee.

We do not accept returns on damaged or scratched items, outside of manufacturer defects. In the unlikely event you receive a damaged item, please let us know and we will gladly replace it.

How do I cancel an order?

To cancel an order please email hello@lookoptic.com and include your order number. Please note, if the cancelation request is made more than one hour after purchase we may not be able to honor the request, as our warehouse is super fast!

However, if we can't stop the shipment, don't worry, you have 90-days to return the order and we pay for return shipping.

Find the Perfect Frame

If you are looking for an average frame, you're in luck; all of our frames fit average-sized faces while also providing you with the option to adjust them at home easily.

If you are looking for a wider frame, we recommend Bond, Liam, and Laurel in that order. The Sullivan could also be a good choice, as all of our temples expand out by ~20%.

Finally, If you are looking for a narrow frame, we suggest the Abbey, Casper, or Sullivan styles in that order.

How do I adjust my glasses?

Sometimes we all need a little help to get things right. And getting your glasses to fit is no exception.

If your glasses feel a little tight, too loose, or seem to slide down your nose, not to worry! Every pair of LOOK OPTIC glasses comes with a wire-core temple, allowing you to adjust them without heating or visiting a local optical shop.

All you need to do is apply pressure to the bottom third of the temple to bend it in or out. They will not break (guaranteed) and the wire core will help hold the shape.

How do I care for my glasses?

Like any pair of glasses, we suggest that you keep them in their case when not being used, and try not to clean them with your shirt or other clothing that has been washed in chemicals or is abrasive. Use gentle soap and water to clean the frames and lenses and a micro-fiber, like the one which comes attached to the inside of your case. We took special care to attach the microfiber because we couldn’t stop losing ours!

Why Blue-light Lenses?

Blue-light lenses help prevent Computer Vision Syndrome, or Digital Eye Strain, by blocking the blue light transmitted from your computer monitor, smartphone, and tablet. Some studies suggest that too much exposure to blue light at night can disturb your sleep cycle, leading to problems sleeping and overall fatigue.

LOOK Blue-light Readers use RetinaShield TM Blue technology to provide clear lenses that filter out over 90% of the dangerous blue light. In addition, rather than using a coating like most blue-light protection lenses, RetniaShield TM lenses disperse the UV inhibitor in the lens material itself, providing longer-lasting better protection.

RetniaShield’s "in-mass" technology blocks light by absorbing it while providing superior performance and longer-lasting lenses (because scratches to the surface do not degrade their function). The “in-mass” technology also delivers a clear lens without a bluish reflection, so you can wear them anytime day or night, whether you are on your device or not.

What type of lenses do you use?

All of our glasses at LOOK OPTIC use prescription quality, CR-39, scratch-resistant lenses with an anti-reflective coating. In addition, our blue-light protection is "in mass" vs. a coating, which allows for better protection and longevity.

We selected CR39 lenses as they are 50% lighter and 10x stronger than glass, while providing almost the same clarity.

Do you offer quarter magnifications?

Unfortunately, we do not carry quarter magnifications. However, we suggest that you order both a higher and lower magnification (to try) and return the pair that don't work; we pay for shipping both ways and will issue a full refund for the pair that does not work! Alternatively, an optometrist can easily switch out the lenses for you.

Do you offer prescription lenses?

While we no longer offer prescription lenses, you absolutely can put prescription lenses in our frames. We recommend Lensabl.com who you can contact directly after purchasing our glasses. If you use the code: LOOK20 you will receive 20% off your lens purchase.

Recycle Program

How do I recycle my old frames?

To learn more about our recycling program, as well as our commitment to sustainability please email recycle@lookoptic.com and we will send you information regarding where you should send your old glasses (whether they are LOOK or another brand), as well as how to receive 20% off your next purchase for playing your part in making our world a better place.

Sustainability

In 2018, Matt Petersen (the former CEO of Global Green and Los Angeles’ first Chief Sustainability Officer) joined LOOK OPTIC’s Advisory Board. Since this time, management has been working with Matt to improve company operations and their impact on the environment.

While the company has reduced its packaging size and developed new cases made from recycled plastic, the core focus has been two major issues. One, helping those in need obtain reading glasses (the World Health Organization estimates this to number to be over 700M people worldwide) and, two, reduce the number of old frames (currently estimated at 4M+ each year) showing up in our oceans and landfills.

To this end, LOOK OPTIC has established partnerships with Lion’s Club to help upcycle and redistribute old frames. And with TerraCycle to assist in recycling the hard to recycle (lenses and hinges), being one of the first eyewear brands to commit to zero waste while turning such into running tracks, playgrounds, and more.

The vision, says co-founder Andrew Leary “to become an industry leader and to not only attain zero waste but, whenever possible, create frames from fully recycled materials. Thus, in time, with every purchase, and with every pair customers send back to us to be recycled/upcycled they will be working to close the loop and to help protect our environment.”

Repairs & Warranties

What if my LOOK glasses break?

If a screw becomes loose, which rarely happens, we hope you can easily take care of that at home.

However, if your LOOK OPTIC frames or lenses break from normal use within one year of purchase, send them back and we will either replace or repair them at no charge.

A few examples of things that aren’t normal use include scratched lenses from throwing them in your purse or pocket, accidentally driving over them, stepping or sitting on them, or your dog eating them.

But if a hinge breaks within a year of purchase due to opening and closing the readers, we will be happy to issue a replacement. And if your puppy does like the way our glasses taste, just let us know; we have been known to give "doggy discounts."
